Using capos allow you to use alternate tunings without having to re-tune your guitar all the time. I also use multiple capos
at the same time to create different tunings. I have capos that only touch a few strings at a time. I have found that Shubb
Capos work best for me. They are easily altered and reasonably priced.

I like ceramic slides the best. They seem to work better on steel string acoustics. The Mudslide is my weapon of choice!

I could not find a rack to fit my needs so I built my own out of some birch plywood I had laying around. I built a small
stand to match. (Right) It is a pretty simple rack with a Rack Rider power strip with lights, An Alesis MidiVerb 4, a Carvin
400 watt Stereo Amplifier, a dual cassette deck for easy recording when you are in the groove, and finally a CD player. I
also wanted some music storage in the bottom. I installed furniture casters on the bottom for easy movement.

Digi-Tech Vocalist. A great vocal processor for the studio. It allows you to store different harmony programs. Be sure
to get the optional three way switch. It's a must!

The little tube amp that could. This Gibson Skylark is a great amp for a small room with big tube sound. I use this with
the Korg A5 Multi Effects Processor. (Right) It is the perfect amp for my Gibson ES 335 TD.

Tuners are a must especially when using alternate tunings and 12 strings!!! Good ones like this Korg run about 30 to 50 bucks.

Ah.... The E-Bow. For those of you that have used one they are a kick. They work especially well with magnetic pickups.
For those of you that haven't you need to pick one up. They work by creating a magnetic field that makes a string sing
and give you endless sustain. I heard Chris Proctor at a clinic use one. I bought one the next day!

This little stand is great for holding all of your picking accessories while playing. I built in a sliding shelf to hold
my Digi-Tech Vocalist. Both the rack and stand are on casters for mobility.

My Carvin MX842 Stereo Mixer before I installed it in my rack system. I have been very happy with it. It is probably a little
over-kill for my small studio but hey.... .........more power!

If you need a portable, versitile, and simple effects processor the Korg A5 may be for you. It is easy to use and I transport
it in a small briefcase. It has chorus, flange, delay, compressor, as well as user programmable presets.
